CLEVELAND - A Cleveland man shot and killed in the city’s first homicide of 2013 has been identified.
The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office said 42-year-old Nathan Brown died after being shot Tuesday.
The shooting happened at about 2:50 a.m. on Hilgert Avenue between East 99th and East 102nd streets.
Cleveland police said Brown suffered gunshot wounds to the chest and was found lying on the front porch of his house. Detectives determined that it appears at least one person kicked in the front door and shot Brown.
Police have not yet made any arrests in the case and are trying to determine a motive.
Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to contact Cleveland police at 216-623-5464.
