CLEVELAND - Cleveland police said a man found dead in the front yard of a Forest Avenue home on the city's east side doesn't look suspicious after all.

Neighbors called authorities around 10:50 p.m. Tuesday reporting a man lying in the yard. When EMS arrived, they noticed the 46-year-old had suffered head trauma.

The man was taken to MetroHealth where he later died.

Neighbors said they heard someone walking up the stairs and then heard a loud thump. When they checked to see what the noise was, they found the man outside. They told police they never heard gunshots and EMS confirmed the injuries weren't caused by a bullet.

Medical experts said it was raining at the time of the accident and the stairs were wet and slippery. They aren't sure if that was a contributing factor to the man's death.
