CLEVELAND - Charges were filed in the shooting death of a Cleveland woman at the Metal Fabrication Corporation this weekend.
Officers were called to the business, located on Berea Road, at about 2:30 on Saturday. Cleveland police said the suspect walked into the Metal Fabrication Corporation, shot the victim and then fled.
The victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the torso and taken to MetroHealth Medical Center, where she died. The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office identified her as 29-year-old Doris Schobel, of Cleveland.
Police said the suspect, 31-year-old Maurice Brown, knew Schobel. He was arrested in the area of East 65th Street and Superior Avenue.
Brown, of Cleveland, was charged with aggravated murder and is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday.
