CLEVELAND - The Public Animal Welfare Society of Ohio, or PAWS as they are commonly known, is celebrating National Adoption Week.
Organizers said they are in a critical situation because they have an overload of rescue animals that are in need of loving, caring homes.
If you're looking for a furry addition to your family, head over to the Mayfield PetSmart on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Golden Gate Plaza on Mayfield Road.
The Parma PetSmart will have adoptions on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
People will be on hand all day to approve adoptions, so you can take your new family member home the same day.
Adoption prices will be reduced significantly with the hope hundreds of animals will go to good homes this weekend. In fact, to battle the cold weather before it even starts, PAWS is offering some free cats.
