PHILADELPHIA - A student at John Carroll University died Wednesday morning at a hospital in Philadelphia after an accidental fall that occurred on Jan. 1.
Matt Crozier, 20, was a junior business management major and member of the men’s basketball team.
The university announced the news in a letter to students from Dean Sherri A. Crahen.
“Please join me as I extend to Matt's family, friends, and members of the Men's basketball team our deepest expressions of prayer and sympathy,” the letter read.
JCU head basketball coach Mike Moran told NewsChannel5, "He was just a total good kid, a great player, a sociable young man, a great student... Just the kind of kid that you like to have your daughter bring home."
Memorial services will be held in both Cleveland and his home of Philadelphia.
