CLEVELAND - If you're getting the itch to try your chance at the slots but don't want to hop in the car, Cleveland's casino will now pick you up.
Horseshoe Casino Cleveland announced Monday that it has partnered with Lake Front Lines to offer bus service between the casino and 10 communities outside the city. The bus will drop riders off at the Prospect entrance to the casino.
The service will start Monday, Oct. 15 and include these cities:
- Akron
- Amherst
- Avon
- Brook Park
- Brunswick
- Canton
- Independence
- Mentor
- Middleburg Heights
- Willoughby
From the get-go, the bus service will only be offered on weekdays, but the casino said it plans to add weekends in the future.
"We look forward to welcoming more visitors to Horseshoe Casino," said Director of Marketing Noah Hirsch. "We've worked diligently to make sure that both our regular bus pickups and group tour program offer our guests the legendary experience Horseshoe is known for."
The cost for riding the bus is $10, but Horseshoe Casino said it will give riders $15 in free slot play.
Those wishing to take the bus may make reservations, but walk-ons will also be accepted based on availability.
Horseshoe said it added nine jobs in order to offer this service – one bus coordinator and eight bus greeters.
