CLEVELAND - To meet high demand for Blackjack, Mini-baccarat, Roulette and Let-It-Ride, Horseshoe Casino Cleveland will add 24 new table games to its gaming floor.
When it's all said and done, it means there will be a total of 89 tables, making Horseshoe Cleveland the largest table games operator in Ohio.
The 96,000 square foot gaming floor will continue to operate 1,900 slot machines and its 30-table World Series of Poker room.
"Cleveland is a table games town," said Horseshoe senior vice president and general manager Marcus Glover in a news release. "From day one, our tables have seen constant action around the clock."
Minor renovations to accommodate the new tables are currently under way on the casino’s second level adjacent to the Vintage 51 bar. Table game installation begins in the coming weeks.
Tosha Skipper, the casino’s director of Table Games, said the addition will ensure more seats and betting positions are available to accommodate table games novices and enthusiasts alike.
Due to the expansion, Horseshoe Cleveland recently trained and hired an additional 100 team members to operate the additional tables. To date, Horseshoe Cleveland's Table Games Service Academy has hired more than 580 workers, with 90 percent from northeast Ohio.
The Ohio Casino Control Commission will consider final approval of the games in late November.
