NORTH OLMSTED, Ohio - A man is facing OVI charges after his van ended in the Rocky River Monday afternoon.
Cleveland Metroparks Rangers were called to the Rocky River Reservation in North Olmsted around 12:20 p.m.
Rangers said the van was on Cedar Point and Valley Parkway when it ended up on a trail. According to the Metroparks rangers, the van went down an embankment about 200 feet off the main road.
The vehicle landed in about 3 feet of water. Rangers said the driver, 59-year-old Timothy Cowen, was able to get out without any problem.
He was not injured, but he was arrested and charged with OVI, rangers said.
The North Olmsted Fire Department said crews on the scene are concerned about the fuel tank or oil in vehicle and are calling this a minor Hazmat situation.
