CLEVELAND - The Greater Cleveland RTA is making it easier to get around downtown by expanding its trolley service with three new lines.
The new C-Line expands on the B-Line and E-Line trolleys that already run on weekdays.
It will operate from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. on weekdays and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on weekends, and connects the Horseshoe Casino Cleveland to the Medical Mart and Convention Center with stops in PlayhouseSquare, the East Fourth District, and the Warehouse District along the way.
The L-Line will run on weekends from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and will shuttle passengers from Public Square to lakefront destinations, like the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and the Great Lakes Science Center.
And the RTA is starting the new NineTwelve Line at the request of the community. It will connect commuters to the Municipal Parking Lot, the Gateway East Parking Garage and businesses in the NineTwelve District Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 3 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The new trolley lines start up Monday, Sept. 10, and are all free thanks to the RTA and a number of sponsors.
