CLEVELAND - A sure sign of the holiday season in northeast Ohio is coming. That’s right, the Great Lakes Brewing Company Christmas Ale will be tapped before the end of the month.
The event starts at 11 a.m. on Oct. 25 at the GLBC brewpub in Ohio City, with the first pour poetry contest winner getting the first glass.
Santa Claus will be on hand, and visitors are encouraged to wear holiday sweaters and bring their jingle bells.
To enter the poetry contest, send in your ode to the holiday beer to marissad@greatlakesbrewing.com . The winning sonnet, haiku or rap will be read by co-owner Pat Conway for Great Lakes’ own “Twas the Night Before Christmas.”
Great Lakes Brewing Company has not said when Christmas Ale will be available in stores this year.
