Girl hit by car while waiting for bus on Cleveland’s east side

CLEVELAND - A 14-year-old girl was seriously hurt after being struck by a car while waiting for the bus.

It happened at about 7 a.m. on McCracken Road at East 113th Street in Cleveland Tuesday. Police said the girl was in a crosswalk when the vehicle hit her.

The driver of the car did not leave the scene. The girl was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center with serious injuries.

Police said weather and road conditions played a factor in the incident.

No criminal charges have been filed at this time and an investigation is under way.
