CLEVELAND - Four men will spend several years behind bars for beating a mentally disabled man at a rapid station.

Manuelle Williams, 22, described as the ring leader, was sentenced to 7 years in prison. His uncle, J.L. Williams Jr., 50, was sentenced to 4 years behind bars. Austin Deionty, 30, got 4 years in prison and Ronald Woods, 31, will spend 5 years behind bars.

On Sept. 18, the four men kicked and punched a 39-year-old man repeatedly in the head at the West 65th Street RTA Rapid Station.

The assault ended when a witness pressed the emergency button on the train.

Police and EMS arrived and the victim was taken to a nearby hospital for a fractured jaw, broken nose, stitches to his lip and mouth, and severe swelling to his face.

In January, Woods pleaded guilty to felonious assault. Later that month, Williams pleaded guilty to attempted murder and Austin pleaded no contest but was convicted of attempted murder.

Two weeks ago, Williams Jr. pleaded guilty to felonious assault with prior conviction specifications.
