Five deadbeat dads indicted for owing more than $81,000 in child support

CLEVELAND - Five fathers were indicted in Cuyahoga County for failing to pay a combined $81,779 in child support.

Lebaron Pierce, 33, of Canton, owes $38,554.42 for his 13-year-old. He last made a $70 child support payment in May 2011.

Albert Cornell, 52, of Euclid, owes $23,688.28 for his 15-year-old. Cornell last paid $100 in child support in September.

Arnesto Shields, 49, of Cleveland, owes $11,762.47 for his three kids ages 16, 19, and 21. Shields has never made a child support payment.

Demetrius Wright, 35, of Dayton, owes $5,635.52 for his 16-year-old. A $350 payment was last made in September.

Fred Eaddie, Jr, 37, of Cleveland, owes $2,138.95 for his 9-year-old child. A $25 payment was last made in January.

Criminal non-support is a fifth degree felony which carries a maximum sentence of one year in prison.

The indictments are a result of a joint investigative by the Cuyahoga County Child Support Enforcement Agency (CSEA) and the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor's Office.

All five men will be arraigned on Nov. 27.
