CLEVELAND - The Horseshoe Casino Cleveland may not open until May 14, but the slot machines that will fill the state's first casino began arriving Thursday.
Two large tractor trailers pulled up to the Prospect Avenue side of the Higbee Building with the first shipment of slots, video poker and other electronic gambling games.
The trucks were met by officials with Ohio Casino Control Commission and BCI which is the law enforcement arm overseeing gambling operations in the state.
There will be around 2,100 slots machines in the casino, each of them will be individually inspected as they come off the trucks, a process that's expected to take several days.
The casino will also feature 65 table games and a 25-table World Series of Poker room.
The slots will be placed inside on their pedestals but will not be immediately operational and will remain under security surveillance until the casino opens its doors.
