CLEVELAND - Federal prosecutors in northern Ohio say four Cleveland men have been indicted on charges stemming from a string of armed robberies last year.

Charges against the four men in their 20s in the eight Cleveland robberies included conspiracy, robbery affecting interstate commerce, and using firearms to commit crimes of violence.

Authorities say they held up fast food restaurants, a drug store and a convenience store.

U.S. Attorney Steven M. Dettelbach said the defendants "sowed fear and interrupted business on both the east and west sides of town."
