CLEVELAND - Five fathers and two mothers have been indicted in Cuyahoga County for not paying child support. Combined the deadbeat parents owe $183,810.
Jennifer Robertson, 37, of Cleveland, was indicted on three counts of criminal non-support. She owes $70,130 for her 15-year-old. The last voluntary payment was made in 2007 for $2,500.
Records show David Burch, 41, of Columbus, owes $31,061 for his 10-year-old child. A payment of $416 was last made in 2005.
Mulrein Scott, 42, of Cleveland, faces three criminal non-support charges. He owes $29,164 for his 14-year-old. Scott last paid $53 for his child in 2005.
Records show Calvin Jones, 48, of Cleveland, owes $22,143 for his 18-year-old. Jones made a child support payment last in 2008 in the amount of $307.
Melissa Clotmand, 41, of Cleveland, owes $15,254 for her 7-year-old child. Clotmand last sent a $10 payment in 2011.
Records show Brian Westfall, 23, of Parma, owes more than $8,714 for his 4-year-old. Later this month, Westfall is scheduled to be arraigned in a separate child support case in which he owes $4,849 for his 3-year-old.
John Andrews, 41, of Cleveland, owes $7,341 for his 13-year-old. A voluntary child support payment was last made in 2008 for $28.
All seven parents are scheduled to be arraigned on April 26.
Criminal non-support is a felony that carries a maximum one-year prison sentence.
A joint investigation by the Cuyahoga County Child Support Enforcement Agency (CSEA) and the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor's Office led to the indictments.
