Cuyahoga County Board of Elections hiring thousands of poll workers for upcoming 2010 elections

CLEVELAND - Cuyahoga County needs thousands of people to work for the upcoming elections. The Board of Elections is hiring about 5,400 people, starting Tuesday, July 13.

The open positions are as poll workers at 471 voting locations for the September 7 Primary Election, and the General Election in November.

Election Day workers earn a minimum of $172.

Applicants are urged to call the Board of Elections after 9:30 a.m. Tuesday. The number is 216-443-3277.

Those interested can also apply in person at the Board of Elections at 2925 Euclid Ave. in Cleveland.
