CLEVELAND - Today is Columbus Day and that means banks and post offices are closed, but it also means Cleveland will hold its annual Columbus Day Parade at noon.
The parade will kick off at noon at the corner of Cornell and Murray Road in Cleveland's Little Italy neighborhood.
Politics will play a role in this year's parade. Hockey legend Mike Eruzione, captain of the 1980 USA Men's "Miracle on Ice" Olympic Team, will walk in the parade to show his support for the Mitt Romney/Paul Ryan ticket.
Eruzione spoke at the final night of the Republican National Convention, receiving some of the biggest cheers of the night, after praising Romney for his role in saving the scandal-rocked Salt Lake City Winter Games.
Newsnet5.com will live stream the event when it gets underway at noon.
