CLEVELAND - The FBI arrested a 40-year-old Cleveland woman last week on sex trafficking charges stemming from crimes allegedly involving a 16-year-old girl.
Pearline Richardson was arrested on July 14, and she is due in federal court Monday afternoon to face child sex trafficking charges.
The FBI said the execution of a search warrant on a house in the 4700 block of E. 173rd St. and additional investigation led to the discovery of notebooks with names, dates and dollar amounts of prostitution transactions.
Agents said three adult women and the 16-year-old girl were victims of forced prostitution.
Sex trafficking of children carries a penalty of 10 years to life in prison.
FBI spokesperson Scott Wilson said the girl who was victimized was a runaway who was held against her will.
Wilson said the Cleveland Crimes Against Children Task Force is cracking down on child sex trafficking rings in northern Ohio.
