CLEVELAND, Ohio - Cleveland State University officials and the Euclid Avenue Development Corporation will meet Friday to discuss overall safety in the area including the campus and theater district.
Organizers said recent crimes in the area have caused them to realize they need to work together to combat crime. They plan to discuss policies and expenditures related to student life and continued security for the university’s residential halls.
A man accused of groping two women on campus was arrested earlier this year. A woman reported being assaulted in the Science and Research Center. A week earlier, another student said she was groped in an elevator. Police said they used campus surveillance cameras to identify the man.
The meeting will take place Friday, February 10 at 1 p.m. in the Administration Center of Cleveland State University, 2300 Euclid Avenue in room 208.
NewsChannel5's Shay Harris will be at the meeting. Keep checking newsnet5.com for more information.
