CLEVELAND - A Cleveland woman accused of trafficking a 15-year-old girl for sex was arrested on the city’s west side Tuesday afternoon.
The FBI’s Violent Crimes Task Force found Chardee Barfield, 21, in the area of West 47th Street and Lorain Avenue at about 2:30 p.m.
The FBI said Barfield transported the 15-year-old girl from Ohio to Pennsylvania to force the teen into prostitution. The indictment said that while in Pennsylvania, Barfield posted herself and the teen as available to participate in sex acts at local motels.
Authorities said Barfield also posted graphic images of the teen on a website. The FBI said Barfield even engaged in sexual activities with the teen.
Barfield and Ernest McClain, 27, were indicted by a federal grand jury in Cleveland on Feb. 2, but Barfield had remained on the run.
McClain’s trial is set for being on April 9.
