CLEVELAND - It will be a couple of more months before Cleveland football fans see their beloved Browns take the field. But they saw a good game anyhow on Wednesday night.
Cleveland police, fire and EMS took on the Marines in a game of flag football at Cleveland Browns Stadium.
The game, which was part of Marine Week, drew about 2,500 fans, including Michael Harrigan, Sr. who wasn't sure which side to cheer for. He works for the Public Utilities Police but his son, Michael, Jr. is in Marine boot camp.
"I really want to yell for the safety forces," Harrigan said. "But there's a bunch of big Marines around here so I'm just keeping my cool."
The halftime show brought fans to their feet, and by the start of the second half, Cleveland's first responders, all decked out in orange and brown, scored again.
The Cleveland first responders won the game by a score of 28 to 0.
