CLEVELAND - Police released photos on Tuesday of the man they say tried to kidnap a woman from a Cleveland convenient store earlier this year.
The incident happened on Feb. 18 at the Mini Mart on West 117th Street, police said.
The 40-year-old victim told police she was loading a few groceries into her car when a man approached her and said “I have a gun. Get in the car.” The suspect kept his hand in his pocket as if he had a weapon, but the woman didn’t see a gun.
The police report said the man grabbed her arm and pulled her towards his van. That’s when another man walked out of the store and scared off the kidnapper.
Cleveland police said the suspect fled in a silver Ford minivan.
