Cleveland police say 8-day-old baby has 6 broken ribs

CLEVELAND - Cleveland police are investigating the assault of an 8-day-old baby.

Police and the Department of Children and Family Services were called to Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital at about 2 p.m. Wednesday.

The medical staff told officers that the baby boy had six broken ribs.

No arrests have been made. The case is under investigation by the Cleveland Division of Police Sex Crimes and Child Abuse unit.
