CLEVELAND - Cleveland police have released the name of the officer who died from a sudden illness over the weekend while on duty.
Patrol Officer Marcia Figueroa, 54, died Sunday, after an unexpected illness struck Saturday while she was working at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport.
"We are all truly saddened by her sudden passing. Marcia will be missed," said a message on the department's Facebook page.
In honor of Figueroa's death, district flags will be flown at half-staff Monday.
Figueroa was with the department for 14 years.
