CLEVELAND - Cleveland police said a car took off when they tried to pull it over early Saturday morning on Frankfort Avenue.

Police said the car did pull over, but when officers approached it the driver sped off, nearly hitting two police officers.

During the chase two police cars were involved in a crash at West 6th Avenue and Frankfort Avenue. The suspects’ car was not involved in the crash.

The suspects’ car eventually stopped at a parking lot in the 700 block of Frankfort Avenue.

The driver and passenger fled on foot, but another passenger was arrested. Police found one of the men who took off ducking between cars.

Four officers injured in the crash were treated and released from Metro Hospital.
