CLEVELAND - A 6-year-old girl who disappeared Friday night in Cleveland was found Saturday morning.
Police searched for Lanay Pope Friday night and early Saturday morning on the city's east side.
Just after 8 a.m. Saturday, police said that Pope was found in the 2400 block of East 110th Street and speaking to officers.
Pope was taken to Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital as a precaution, but police said she was doing fine. Police determined that Pope spent the night at a friend’s house.
The girl was last seen playing with other children in the 2500 block of East 110th Street Friday at about 6:00 p.m.
Police said the girl's mother went outside to check on her daughter around 8:00 p.m., and could not find her.
Pope’s mother reported her daughter missing about an hour later.
Officers searched the area, checked with other family members, neighbors and area hospitals.
Police said no one is facing charges at this time.
