CLEVELAND - A Cleveland police officer was arrested in Maple Heights on domestic violence charges, Cleveland police said.
Sgt. Belinda Kyle appeared in Garfield Heights Municipal Court at 11 a.m. on Monday, according to the court docket. She was arrested at about 11:10 p.m. Sunday.
The Cleveland Police Department released the following statement:
“The Division of Police Integrity Control Section is Monitoring a Maple Heights investigation involving the arrest of Sgt. Belinda Kyle for Domestic Violence and as a result of the investigation she has been assigned to restricted duty pending the outcome of the criminal case against her."
The details of her arrest are not known at this time.
