CLEVELAND - A Cleveland man is facing a 15-count indictment after police say he set his girlfriend on fire.

Police said that on Jan. 31, Kevin A. Ford Jr. chased his girlfriend, 31-year-old Tiffany Lawson through a house in the 4800 block of Quincy Avenue. Lawson tossed her 18-month-old son out of an upstairs window to a woman outside, police said.

The toddler was not injured, but Ford eventually caught up with Lawson and sprayed her with lighter fluid, police said. He then set her on fire. According to police, Lawson removed her clothes and jumped out the window.

On Thursday, Ford was indicted on two counts of attempted murder, three counts of aggravated arson, three counts of felonious assault, four counts of kidnapping, two counts of domestic violence and one count of endangering children.

Ford pleaded not guilty to the 15 charges during an arraignment Monday morning. His bond was set at $100,000.

Lawson suffered burns to her hand and leg. She also broke her elbow and arm.
