CLEVELAND - Sunday was a day for Cleveland heroes and a day to also honor a man killed in 2008 while riding his bike.

The West Park Cleveland Police and Firefighters Memorial Run began and ended Sunday at St. Joseph Academy.

The annual event honors those who were killed in the line of duty.

Money raised goes toward the West Park Cleveland Police and Firefighter Memorial Scholarship Fund.

Sunday morning was also a Ride for Miles day. Miles Coburn was riding his bicycle in Newbury Township when he was hit and killed by a SUV in 2008.

Coburn was an avid bike rider so in his honor Sunday, hundreds of people gathered for a 15 mile ride through the eastern suburbs of Cleveland. The ride started and ended at John Carroll University here Coburn taught for more than 30 years.
