CLEVELAND - The Cleveland Clinic and University Hospitals Case Medical Center lead the list of local hospitals in the annual rankings released by U.S. News and World Report.
The Cleveland Clinic ranked nationally in 14 adult and 10 pediatric specialties.
The full rankings for the Cleveland Clinic are:

-- Cardiology & Heart Surgery (#1)
-- Diabetes & Endocrinology (#2)
-- Ear, Nose & Throat (#2)
-- Gastroenterology (#2)
-- Geriatrics (#4)
-- Gynecology (#3)
-- Nephrology (#1)
-- Neurology & Neurosurgery (#5)
-- Ophthalmology (#9)
-- Orthopedics (#3)
U.S. News and World Report ranked hospitals around the country. Criteria included reputation, mortality rate and patient safety.
The full rankings for University Hospitals are:
-- Cancer (#18)
-- Cardiology & Heart Surgery (#29)
-- Diabetes & Endocrinology (#38)
-- Ear, Nose & Throat (#19)
-- Gastroenterology (#14)
-- Geriatrics (#27)
-- Gynecology (#27)
-- Nephrology (#31)
-- Neurology & Neurosurgery (#28)
-- Orthopedics (#20)
-- Pulmonology (#38)
-- Urology (#40)

Several other hospitals made the list including: MetroHealth Medical Center, Fairview, Hillcrest, South Pointe, St. John Medical Center, Marymount, Lutheran, Euclid and Lakewood.
