CLEVELAND - The CLE Clothing Company has joined a number of Cleveland businesses that are donating a portion of their sales to West Side Market vendors recoup their losses after last month’s fire that has closed down the Cleveland staple until further notice.

Thursday afternoon, the local clothing store tweeted a photo of a new T-shirt design with an image of the West Side Market that says “Support the West Side Market. A Cleveland cornerstone for over 100 years.”

The shirt is being sold for $20 and is currently available for pre-order only.

The CLE Clothing Co. posted this message on its website Thursday:
“We here at CLE Clothing want to help the relief efforts, so we created a T-shirt to support the Market and those affected. One-hundred percent of the proceeds from the sales of this T-shirt will go to the Market Vendor Relief Fund of the Michael D. Symon Foundation.”

Last week, Market Garden Brewery and Happy Dog announced they would give $1 from each beer and hot dog sold to the vendors and their employees.

Market Garden also introduced a new beer on tap called the West Side Market Recovery Lager. The brewery is donating 20 percent of the beer’s sale to the vendors.

Great Lakes Brewing Co. is also helping out by bringing back its Butcher’s Brew that was specially made to celebrate the West Side Market’s 100 anniversary. All proceeds from those sales will benefit the market.

Others are planning a cash mob to give vendors a financial boost; however, no date is set since it’s unclear when the market will reopen. The cleanup project to restore the West Side Market began Sunday and is slated to take up to 10 days to complete.

If you'd like to make a donation to vendors and the relief effort you can go to a site set up by Chef Michael Symon: http://www.marketvendorrelief.org/
