CLEVELAND - Chipotle said it will open two more restaurants in Cleveland soon – including a downtown location, the company confirmed Thursday.
A spokeswoman for Chipotle told NewsChannel5 a downtown store will be located on Euclid Avenue near East 4th Street. The second will be located in a former KFC on Lorain Road in the Kamm's Corners neighborhood of Cleveland.
The downtown restaurant is expected to open in the first quarter of 2013, while the other store will open a little later.
This will be the third big chain to open up shop in that part of downtown – Potbelly Sandwich Shop opened June 6 and J. Gumbo's will open at 226 Euclid Avenue late fall. Chipotle is expected to be going into the location directly west of J. Gumbo's in the former Bang & Clatter Theater -- where construction has already begun -- but the company was unable to confirm the exact address.
