CLEVELAND - Parma police found the car belonging to an elderly couple who was killed in their Cleveland home.

Cleveland police said the Buick LeSabre was located in the 6000 block of State Road in Parma at about 8:30 p.m. Monday. The driver of the car was taken into custody, but he was not arrested, police said.

Monday morning, the victims’ daughter found 72-year-old Wava King bleeding on the couch of their house in the 3300 block of Virginia Avenue and called 911. Police discovered 75-year-old James King in the basement. He suffered head trauma.

Police statewide were looking for the couple’s car in hopes it would lead them to a suspect.

Cleveland police ask that anyone with information about this case to contact the Division of Police Homicide Unit at 216-623-5464.
