CLEVELAND - A car crashed into a building in the 5700 block of Superior Avenue, just east of East 55th Street around 1 a.m. Monday morning.
Police said that whoever was driving the car ran from the area before they arrived.
The car crashed through a sidewall of the building leaving a large hole in the brick wall. The car was setting about 10 feet inside the building with its lights on.
Police said a gas meter had been destroyed in the crash and were awaiting the gas company to turn the gas off to the building before attempting to remove the car from inside.
Police were not sure if the building was being used for anything.
