CLEVELAND - Wednesday may be one of the busiest travel days of the year, but you wouldn't know it when looking inside Cleveland Hopkins International Airport.
Travelers said they were surprised by how easily they breezed through lines and security checkpoints.
Larry Kaye was flying to Arizona to visit his son and arrived early just in case the airport was busy, but said it wasn't.
"I mean, there was no traffic getting here, looks like we'll be able to get right through security, its a lot easier than we thought it would be," he said.
Wendy Shapiro was also surprised by the lack of people at the airport.
"We got to the airport, nobody's here, I mean, I don't know what's going on, it was a good time to come," she said.
Auto Club AAA said Wednesday that air travel was expected to decline slightly in Ohio and nationwide, with about 123,000 Ohioans flying during the Thanksgiving period.
