CLEVELAND, OHIO - A sunny Sunday greeted fans tailgating before the Browns season opener at home. The day started with the aroma of food being grilled in parking lots around the stadium while fans were busy barking and chanting, "Here we go Brownies!"
But those same fans went home disappointed after the Browns lost to the Eagles Sunday afternoon.
Fans said they expect growing pains with rookies in key positions, but have high hopes the players and the team will improve.
After the game, fans said the defense played great, but the offense stalled under quarterback Brandon Weeden, who threw four interceptions.
Sunday's game was a sellout, but the 73,000 fans left the stadium quietly and disappointed.
"New this, new that, same old results," one fan said.
