CLEVELAND - A body was found in an apartment on Cleveland’s west side, and police are currently investigating the circumstances around the woman’s death.
Officers arrived at the scene on West 101st Street near Detroit Avenue at 2 p.m. Friday. The apartment building is located across from the West Boulevard RTA Rapid station.
Cleveland police said a 47-year-old woman's body was located inside an apartment building. Investigators said she sustained some sort of head trauma.
According to police, a Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority employee was checking on the woman, who was listed as a missing person. The worker found the woman unresponsive and lying on her bed in the bedroom.
The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office identified the woman as Jacqueline Cooper.
