CLEVELAND - A body was found in Lake Erie at a marina near East 55th Street in Cleveland Thursday morning.

The Cleveland Fire Department confirmed it responded to the lake off North Marginal Road just before noon.

According to Cleveland EMS, there was a body discovered there. The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office said it is sending a crew to the scene.

The scene of the incident has been identified as being the Gordon Shore Boat Club, and an employee apparently spotted the body.

The body was pulled from the water and rescue teams left the area. Officers guarded the body until the medical examiner's office arrived.

Later in the day, the medical examiner's office said the body is a male.
