CLEVELAND - Crime scene photos released by the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation show pictures of the 1979 Chevrolet Malibu driven by Timothy Russell during the Nov. 29, 2012 high speed chase turned fatal shooting.
The pictures are part of a 290-page crime report on the incident released Tuesday by Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine.
The BCI photos show 58 bullet holes in the windshield of Russell's car and 19 bullet holes in the windshield of Cleveland police cruiser 217. Both vehicles were caught in a hail of gunfire that claimed the life of Timothy and his passenger Malissa Williams following a high-speed chase.
The pictures include the reconstruction of Russell's vehicle, and the two police cruisers that were in contact with Russell's car at the scene.
The reports also contain drawings of the scene and pictures of how BCI investigators plotted the trajectories of bullets fire during the incident.
DeWine's office posted all of the documents related to this case online, which includes interview transcripts, diagrams and other information gathered during the investigation. Check out the files here: http://on.wews.com/XlTz5z.
