OLMSTED TOWNSHIP, Ohio - A juvenile is in critical condition after being struck by a hit/skip driver while on Cook Road, according to police.

Authorities in Olmsted Township said the young boy was hit by an SUV on Monday around 7 p.m. while walking along the road.

Passersby called 911 and once help arrived the boy was taken by helicopter to Metro Hospital where he's currently listed in critical condition.

Police are looking for a dark colored SUV, possibly a GMC Envoy, and a female driver with brown hair. The vehicle was last seen heading westbound on Cook Road at a high rate of speed, according to police. It's possible the vehicle has damage to its right front end.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Olmsted Township police.
