RICHMOND HTS., Ohio - The Red Cross has been called in to help tenants after an apartment fire in Richmond Heights early Wednesday morning.
According to dispatchers with the Richmond Heights police department, the fire started around 1:20 a.m. in an apartment unit at the Loganberry Ridge Apartments on Whiteway Drive.
Emergency crews evacuated tenants from 16 units within one of the complex’s buildings as firefighters worked to extinguish the fire.
Within two hours, the fire was out, and no one was injured in the blaze.
The cause of the fire is under investigation but believed to be cooking related.
