CLEVELAND - A 19th century Cleveland castle that inspired ghost stories while lying empty for many years will be converted into three homes.
Cleveland City Councilman Joe Cimperman tells The Plain Dealer that the gothic-style Franklin Castle has a new owner who plans to divide the main house into two residential units and set up a third in the carriage house.

Cimperman says the castle in Cleveland's Ohio City area has been a "nightmare" in recent years, because of arson and then squatters.
The fire ruined the previous owner's plan to turn the property into a bed and breakfast.
