AKRON, Ohio - The national ministry Farmers and Hunters Feeding the Hungry is calling on Ohio farmers to help feed needy families.
FHFH provides venison to the hungry through food banks and local feeding programs. The ministry is hoping Northeast Ohio hunters will donate the deer meat they do not use to benefit needy families.
Local FHFH chapters raise money to cover the butchering costs so that hunters can donate their deer free of charge.
Hunters can contact the coordinators below to arrange venison donations at participating butchers:
