CLEVELAND - Crank-Set Rides offer some fun and quirky bike rides around the North Coast.

Its next ride offers a chance for cyclists to dress up like superheroes. While raising money for bike racks, they’ll also be raising money to help with funeral expenses for Mitch Andelmo.

Andelmo, along with Basil Bass, were killed when a car crashed through barriers at the “Dancing in the Streets" benefit at West 117th Street and Clifton Boulevard on July 29. Three others, including Andelmo's girlfriend Constnace Pokorny, were injured in the incident.

The superhero ride takes place Saturday, Aug. 11 beginning with registration between 5 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. at the Greenhouse Tavern on East Fourth Street. A list of events and locations during the ride can be found on its Facebook page .

Blazing Saddle Cycle on Detroit Avenue in Cleveland built a custom bike they’ve donated, which will be raffled off at the end of the evening.

Andelmo built cycles and the donated bike is in the style of Andelmo’s last creation.

There is also an online fundraising site to help Andelmo’s family with funeral expenses.
