Private employment in Cleveland is up

CLEVELAND - The region's ailing economy just  got an economic shot in the arm. The manufacturing sector is just one of the areas showing growth.

"We were number one in the private sector job growth, number 2 in non farming jobs and number 3 in manufacturing job growth," Daniel Berry, with Magnet, a non-profit organization aimed at helping manufacturers here in Ohio, said.

A new report says not only are more jobs being created in our region, but for the first half of the year the unemployment rate is below the national average.
