CLEVELAND - Cleveland police received a call that a man had been shot at the 300 block of East 65 Street Wednesday evening.
The police found the victim with a gunshot wound on his back around 6:30 p.m.
The victim said he was standing in his doorway, saying goodbye to his friends, when he saw a man walking up to his house with a shotgun. He tried to shut his door, but was shot in the back before he could fully close it.
Police searched the area for the suspect, but could not find him.
The victim was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center, where he is being treated for his injury.
