FAIRPORT HARBOR, Ohio - "They are making whole for anybody who was involved in any kind of incident at all," Fairport Harbor Mayor Frank Sarosy said.

Sarosy was referring to the ongoing efforts of Dominion East Ohio in the wake of house fires caused by the over-pressurization of supply lines earlier this week which damaged or destroyed at least 23 structures.

"The number one concern they (Dominion) have, and the same as myself as the mayor, is taking care of the people that have been displaced because of the damage to their homes," Sarosy said.

NewsChannel5 has learned that Dominion East Ohio has provided temporary hotel accommodations to a number of displaced persons and arranged for expense accounts to help defray other costs incurred because of the fires.

Sarosy said Dominion has concluded its home inspections and is now working at replacing damaged appliances and residential gas lines in the village.

NewsChannel5 has also learned the State Fire Marshall has finished his investigation into the cause of the over-pressurization of the lines -- a final report to be made public.
