CLEVELAND - Cleveland City Councilman Michael D. Polensek is offering a $1,000 reward for tips about the individuals that assaulted a mentally challenged man.
On Aug. 14, John Rager was on his way home from work when he was attacked and beaten near East 152nd Street in Cleveland and suffered injuries that may result in permanent damage.
Councilman Polensek was outraged by the attack that nearly killed Rager.
“This horrendous attack should outrage all greater Clevelanders,” Polensek said in a news release on Friday. “We as a city cannot stand by and allow this kind of cruel and brutal act of violence to go unchallenged.”
Anyone wishing to contribute to the reward fund can contact Councilman Polensek’s office.
In addition, the “John Rager Victim’s Fund” fund has been established to assist the Rager family through the difficult times ahead. Donations can be made at any Key Bank.
