CLEVELAND - If you’re interested in being in one of the new movies filming in Northeast Ohio this summer, you may not have to wait in line at a casting call.
A casting agency is accepting applications for extras by email for the movie “I, Alex Cross.” Filming is expected to start in August for the movie starring Tyler Perry and Matthew Fox.
According to the Greater Cleveland Film Commission, people who want to appear in “I, Alex Cross” can send their information to alexcross@realstyleonline.com . They are looking for aspiring actors, with or without previous acting experience.
The Real Style talent resource agency asks that applicants send two photos, current head shot and full body shot, along with the following information:
-Name
-Address
-Phone number
-Email
-Height
-Eye color
-Date of birth
-Weight
-Hair color
-Ethnicity
-Clothing and shoe size
-Year, make and model of car
Extras will be paid for their work on set and it’s free to apply. There was already a big turnout for the movie’s casting call last weekend at the Hyatt Place in Independence.
The agency is also looking for stand-ins and doubles for the major players in the film, but you have to register at realstyleonline.com .
According to the Ohio Film Office, the production is expected to hire 183 Ohio-based crew and more than 1,700 cast members, including extras. The filming is being made possible in part by the Ohio Motion Picture Tax Credit, worth $5 million.
